SCHOOL COMPETITIONS...
Over the last few years we've grown a little frustrated by the lack of organised Sports Competitions for local schools to engage in- especially at Key Stage 1 Level.

Our Solution... To organise our own of course!! So over the last couple of years we've been on a mission to organise as many sports competitions as possible- bringing local Schools together through sport.

We've been particuarlly focused on Key Stage 1. We find that there are lots of opportunities for Key Stage 2 Children to engage in competition and sports teams but very little at Key Stage 1.

According to the Physical Education National Curriculum- all Children leaving Key Stage 1 should have had an opportunity to engage in organised competitive sport. This is a major reason why we have started our competitions. Children take great pride in representing their schools too!
Our Competitions are thoroughly organised, risk assessed and follow guidelines set by The National Governing Body of each Sport . We ensure they are competitive but FUN and focus heavily on team work, fair play and inclusiveness. Every School leaves with a trophy to take back to school with them and smiles on faces!

Our Competitions are a great use of PE Premium Funding and allow PE Coordinators and Head Teachers to network and find new ways for local schools to work together. We encourage schools to give every child within a year group an opportunity to represent their school in at least one competition each school year.

We often run our events at local Junior Schools and invite older Children to assist with the running of each event which is great for their leadership and development. It gives each Junior School a chance to show their amazing facilities to local feeder schools and we invite Parents to attend all outdoor competitions which only strengthens local communities.

Overall these events are positivie for everyone. We are currently running regular competitions in The Chandlers Ford, New Forest & Fareham.
